Megacon 2026 – A Big Party for Vitalerium (Cosplay pics included)

Hello Void jumpers!

Nick Keating Casbarro here to give everyone a bit of an update as to what’s been going on lately. I know everyone is excited about the 2026 release of novel 2: Vitalerium – The Bonds That Break, and don’t worry–I will shed some light on that. However, I wanted to start with a little info on where we’ve been, where we’re going, and what the overall Vision is for the Vitalerium Series as a whole. So let’s dive the fuck in.

SO…

The Vitalerium Series started 2026 off with a bang. And I’m not just talking about my time with Mrs. Keating Casbarro… 😉 I’m talking about our attendance at the 2nd most attended Comic / Pop Culture convention in the country: Megaton Orlando. This year, Megacon drew over 200,000 attendees (which technically ties it with NYC Comic Con, classically the largest convention). Vitalerium didn’t just show up to exhibit and push some pages. We came to put on a show.

This year, I brought four of the Vitalerium characters with me: Monique Magni, General Dorok Ferrous Benson, Asa-Valeriya, and Braxton Hughes joined me at the booth, each played by a popular cosplayer, actor or model. Big shout out to Cosplayer LuxeSteez Cosplay, Actor and producer Levon Panek, 2025’s Ms. Harley Davidson Brooke Raquel, and Mike DeBetta for the characters they portrayed! (You guys crushed it)

This definitely added a tangible buzz around the new booth experience, which was recently upgraded. We significantly expanded from the usual table and backdrop to a full-blown walk-in experience. Anyone who was there can attest–walking into the booth was like stepping into the Vitalerium Universe. I’m not usually one to toot my own horn, but given the price I paid for the substantial upgrade, I’m taking the opportunity. It looked FUCKIN’ AMAZING.

Not only was this a big step toward the overall vision I have for the series, it was a chance to showcase that vision to the largest group of attendees in Megacon history. My hope is that those who were brought into the fold left as hopeful as I am about the future of this IP. I want to take this thing all the way. While the novels and comics will continue to be released, I don’t plan on stopping there. I want to see Vitalerium enter all mediums of entertainment within the next decade. And not just for me, but for the real fans that want to see Vitalerium on the big screen, or streaming at home on their favorite platform. It’s for the gamers that want a chance to take get dropped behind the eyes of Roman Matthews as he Navigates planet Deorum in a massive, open-world RPG. Bold aspirations? You betcha. Give me a few years on those, but every step I take is toward making this hypothetical future a reality for fans.

If you weren’t at Megacon, and you want to see a little bit of what you missed, here are some of the photos below:

Seeing characters that I spent years writing about come to life at the Vitalerium booth was possibly one of the most fulfilling moments of this entire endeavor. I’m so proud of everyone involved and I’m grateful that we’ve gotten this far, but we still have a long way to go…

Last year we crossed the 1K books sold mark, as well as hundreds of audiobooks and hundreds of Vitalerium comics. Now, in the scheme of things, that’s a (very) modest number. I acknowledge that. I’m not throwing up JK Rowling numbers just yet. However, when you tack on the fact that this is the first ever release? The fact that I’m a first time author, and this series is only a year old? Shit, I’ll take it as a win. My goal for 2026, with the release of book 2, is to 10X the number of hands holding Vitalerium content. That’s a big goal, and it’s going to require a lot of work: planning, marketing, creative development, no doubt. However, I also need help from….

YOU! If you like the Vitalerium series, if you enjoyed the novels, or got entrenched in the artwork and lore from the comics, even if you’re one of the people who said “I’ll wait for the movie,” or “When it’s a video game, I’ll definitely play it,” please keep spreading the good word about this series. Despite the digital age we live in, word of mouth is still massively important and often times carries more weight. So if you love Vitalerium, if you support what I’m trying to do, or hell, even if you just think that Nick Casbarro guy is a halfway-decent dude (I’m alright, most of the time at least…), tell your friends. Tell your classmates. Tell your cousin Jay who loves Star Wars, or your your uncle who loves anything sci-fi. Tell your quirky aunt with the pink framed glasses who’s always got her nose in a book. Tell the guy at 7-11 who just sold you a taquito. Keep spreading the word, and I promise you I will keep delivering content.

Btw… quick update: I just finished chapter 27 in book 2, and started chapter 28. That means less than 10 chapters til its finished…

As always, I love you guys for your support. So, from the bottom of my heart–thank you.

All the best,
NKC
